Skagit Valley native Dr Kristen Pierson worked as a mixed animal Veterinarian for several years before deciding to focus on companion animals. Her areas of interest include dentistry, soft tissue surgery , endocrinology , internal medicine and preventative care.
Dr Pierson attended Washington State University where she studied zoology prior to attending veterinary school. In 2016 she completed additional training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and became certified in acupuncture therapy.
Dr Pierson grew up on her family farm outside of Burlington, and stayed busy riding and showing her paint horse, TJ throughout much of her childhood. Dr Pierson now lives in Bellingham with her husband and their three children . Horses , ponies, dogs, cats , children and chickens make her home life as busy as her time in the clinic . She and her family enjoy camping, gardening, house projects , bicycling and of course cheering on the Cougs !!
